Daniel Field Hair colour :)

Hey all, sorry I haven't blogged for a while, I've been feeling uninspired and quiet lately. Plus I've just been sitting around reading books. I just wanted to tell you about a hair dye I love at the moment, I'm now on my second packet (I say packet because this one doesn't come in the usual box). Daniel Field's Natural Colours don't contain any peroxide nor ammonia, which is good for me as I need something gentle on my scalp because of the whole alopecia I've been through. The packet says 'Long lasting Rich Colour for up to 100% grey coverage, Free from peroxide or Ammonia, conditioning and colouring in one for beautiful hair... Naturally".

So here is what's in the packet:
This colour is unlike other colourants because it doesn't contain a developer, all you receive in the packet is a colour vial, applicator bottle, gloves and cap. They don't supply a conditioner ,but I always like using my own anyway,so that's not a problem for me.
Also, on the website you can choose between a complete kit where you receive everything you need, or you can buy the top up kit, which just excludes the applicator bottle (better for the environment).
Anyway with this colour all you do is add a little tiny bit of water into the applicator bottle, add the colour vial (which is a powder), and add more water until it reaches the fill level, now you shake it for a minute until you can't hear any liquid in there.
I must add that the water has to be warm for it to work.
Now when you go to apply it you will notice the colourant is more like a foam, which can be a little tricky to apply, but you do get use to it.
You now leave it on for 20-45mins, depending on how much colour intensity you want.
Then it's time to rise, then after rinsing until no colour comes out, shampoo your hair, then apply conditioner and leave for a min. Rinse.
Then style as usual, and here's Moi after colouring my hair :)

I hope I've explained all of that enough for you :)
I have to say I'm very pleased with the results again (this is my second use of this colour), there is no nasty chemical smell, or irritation for me which is great :)
Thanks for reading x

Quck FOTD and Jemma Kidd Book

It's been a week since I posted last, and it's been sort of a busy week and everything, but I'm not going to burden you with that.

I thought I'd post a quick fotd of me wearing the Earth Metal Bobbi Brown Palette, which is my favourite at the moment.

I've been using Mac e/s for a long time now, and have loved them, but for some reason could never get them to show up very much on my eye lids (which is probably down to how I apply them, maybe), but since using the Bobbi Brown E/S I'm in love.
It doesn't take much to get them to stand out, they are so pigmented and really a dream to apply, they also blend very easily into one another.

In this picture (sorry for the crap grin) I'm wearing the lovely Silver colour called Zinc, and Earth Metal blended into the outer corners and crease. On the lower lid I'm wearing Sunset Gold, I wanted to clash some colours :)

Next thing I'm going to show you is this lovely book by Jemma Kidd, I have to say I'm really excited about this book (haven't read it all, yet).
This book covers all the Basics of Makeup and more.

There are beautiful illustrations, and step by step guides.

I have bought many beauty books over the years, but in my opinion this has to be the best :)
So if you can get your mitts on it, buy it. I really recommend it.

Its my Birthday! Mac, Bobbi Brown and Perfume Goodies :)

So today I celebrate my 26th birthday (well I'm actually upset I'm getting old,lol and bdays arent the same when you're single :( ),
so I had a few goodies I want to show you all :)

First of all I bought some perfume with some money I had off some relatives, and because I fancy a change I bought the new YSL Parisienne perfume which
I have to say is gorgeous, it's a floral/fruity scent which I love. There are notes of Damask Rose, violet, peony, cranberry, patchouli, vetiver, musk and sandalwood, I also read there is some Vanilla and blackberry in there too.
I also bought my old time favourite and my signature scent as I always go back to this one, I've been wearing it since 2002,lol its the Givenchy Hot couture, another floral/fruity fragrance :)
This one has Raspberry nectar, vetiver, white mus
k and jasmine. Love it.

I also had a few items from Mac with some Bday moneyz :)
I bought the Mac Fibre Lash mascara, as after using the l'oreal double extension mascara for a while, I needed a change, I wanted something that would feel softer on the lashes and be more buildable.
The double extension mascara is very hard to remove, and com
es off like some sort of glue.

The next item is something I've fancied for ages which is the springsheen blush. It's a pretty peachy/pink blush with a golden glow, its really pretty :)
IDreamOfMac recommended this blush too :)

I also had my first ever paint pot :) in Bare study, which is a pretty champagne gold, and very light feeling when applied. This paint pot was reviewed by JUICYGIRL the other day, and her review made me take the plunge to buy it, and I'm pleased I did.

So yeah, had quite a bit from Bobbi Brown and I feel greedy for having this lot.
I'm not going to do any swatches tonight, and I haven't played around with the palette and blush much so I will do a separate post for this.
All I'll say about the palette is 'It's Gorgeous'.

And here is the OLE Birthday Girl today.
In the pic I'm wearing my new Bobbi Brown Foundation, Bobbi Brown creamy concealer,Mac Springsheen blush, Mac Fibre Lash Mascara, Bobbi Brown e/s from Palette (the 1st three colours in the palette), and the Bobbi Brown Color Gloss :)

I think I've remembered everything :)
Thanks for Looking X

NOTD, Collection 2000 BMX Bandit.

I've had this on for a few days now and thought I better take a pic and show the colour before I change nail varnish tomorrow.
I really like this polish.
It's a lovely violet colour.
Nothing I can really say about this colour, I just Love it :)

Instyle Magazine UK

So last Thursday I picked up Instyle Magazine (Novemeber issue), and it had a Free L'Occitane Hand Cream :)
I was extremely excited about this, as I've never tried anything by L'Occitane and have always wanted to.
This Hand cream has got to be one of the best I have ever tried. I sinks in so quickly and leaves hands smooth and soft, perfect for the winter months.
It has a very high content of shea butter and it has a very soft, powdery smell.
It also contains almond oil, coconut oil, honey extract, linseed and sunflower oil, so it has a lot of goodness :)
When I run out I'd love to repurchase this stuff if I have the money. It costs £16.50 for 150ml, if it was a little cheaper I definitely would buy it.

Online Shopping Haul!

A few things I ordered off the net came today :D I've had a damn flu, and to cheer myself up and get some winter things ready, I got some stuff off the internet.

I have a thing about over-sized men type shirts at the moment :S it will faze out in a week or two, but right now I love them, lol. I want MORE!
I also bought a jumper dress to wear with tight or leggings, with ankle boots for comfy days at college that don't include painting.
I also bought a crazy hat, lol, I love these styles. I think they're hunter hats (even though I hate hunting and am well against it).

I am really excited about these shoes, I've wanted Brogues for Aaggges!!! These ones have some cool little studs, I love them. I also find Topshop shoes comfy :)

This is really naughty, but I have some Body Shop stuff too.
I've read so many nice things about this perfume, and because it has vanilla I had to have it.
I love warm vanilla scents for winter. I had a sample in Cosmo magazine a few weeks back too, and it smelt gorgeous.
I bought the body wash too, so I can be surrounded by the lovely scent in the Bath too.
I also have the Brazil Nut body scrub too, as I love the body shop scrubs, they always make skin feel so smooth and moisturised, like new skin.
And because I'm a lip balm freak I got the Tantalising lip butter, it's so smooth and moisturising.
So that's it for now :)
Hope you've had a lovely evening :)

Long time..No Blog. Saturday Shopping Haul :)

I finally got out to do a little shopping today, and it was all pretty random. I firstly went to Superdrug and bought more nail varnishes(I have too many) , and a carmex lip balm (I have too many lip balms too).
I bought Three Collection 2000 nail varnishes, the pink one is a sort of barbie pink and is called pink passion, I'm going to put this on my toes tomorrow.
I bought a clear o
ne as a base and this 2 in 1 nail varnish is strengthening and hardening and contains calcium.
The third one is a Blue'ish purple called BMX Bandit, and I shall be wearing that for Monday :)

I also bought the Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze, I really love this stuff, it smells gorgeous like a chocolatey, caramel smell (I think it does anyway).
This stuff does give a nice natural looking tan, but it does get a little patchy, that the only thing I don't like.
Since winter is almost upon us I don't like using St.Tropez and well lately I haven't u
sed fake tan at all, I'm trying to just be my pale self, but I feel that I need a little colour on my arms, so people don't mistake them for sticks of chalk in my drawing class.

So after superdrug I popped into Newlook to buy some t-shirts and long sleeved t-shirts to go underneath things, because I hate to be cold.

I then went to TKMaxx ( I love this shop) and I bought a lovely Shawl/Scarf thingy. I do love the scarves in accessories but I know if I buy one from there I'll either know, or see someone I know wearing the one I have, and I like to be different so I go to Tkmaxx for most things.

I also had to stock up on cleanser, and since Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment, I thought I'd take advantage of it :)
So I bought my favourite cleaning products which I swap between, every now and then.

And they are Avenes Extremely gentle cleanser, its a really good thermal spring water based cleanser that is great for sensitive or irritated skin. It also removes eyemake, and since I'm usually too lazy for a huge cleansing routine I love this.

I'm a proper french skincare lover, and a huge fan of Roc products and I have gone through so many of these Roc Hydra 3 in 1 cleansers and if I change I always come back. Like the Avene cleanser this one too removes eye makeup :)
Both cleansers remove dirt really well without drying the skin out.

I usually feel like I need a bit of freshening after cleansing, so for that I use Rocs skin toner. There's nothing much to say about this, but it feels really fresh and doesn't dry your skin out because its made for Dry skin :)

Ok, this next purchase is something I wasn't sure whether I should buy.
I was shopping in Tesco, and well I've been wanting a cheap Boyfriend style shirt to paint in at college.
All the shirts I have seen in Topshop, Miss Selfridge and River Island are way too nice to ruin, so I went and bought a mens shirt from Tesco for £10,lol.
I'm going to put my own little twist on it, to make it more stylish, but I think it might be Ok.
I shall do an outfit of the day featuring this cheap man shirt soon, lol.

Last but not least is this hair colour by Daniel Field, it arrived in the post for me this morning :)
I now have to be careful with the hair dyes I use, and after looking all over the internet for natural hair dyes this one kept popping up, so I gave it a go.
I messaged a lovely lady at Daniel Field and told her about my hair loss, and asked if this dye would be ok for my scalp and she said yes :)
I also asked which red to go for and she suggested the Burgundy Red, and I must say it's a lovely colour I used it tonight and I'm very happy with the results.
These hair colours are peroxide and ammonia free, which is great. They're also long lasting, and can cover greys.

This hair colour is completely different to any other I have used because all you have to do is add Water. Yes, WATER!!!
Umm actually I think I'll write more about this tomorrow, as it deserves a post of its own, and I'll also show the colour off too.

So yes, thats what I bought today :)
I did buy a new electric toothbrush, but I don't think you want to see that, lol, but if you're interested its a Braun Oral B professional care 8500 hehe.

Anyway I must get to bed, I have a stinking cold and chest infection.
Take care all :) x
