A Pastel kind of day :)

The weather in Wales (and the rest of the UK) lately has been amazingly lovely :)
It's been warm, sunny and very summer like, which has put a spring in my step ;) We've had lovely blue skies and temperatures of 20C, which for March is amazingly good. Please remain like this until October pleaassseee weather :p

All this sunshine and warmness has made me crave pastel colours, and the other day while in TK Maxx I found this mint coloured blouse for £3, ha! It isn't a great fit, but after a bit of playing around I managed to make it look ok (I hope).

Carrying on the pastel theme I wore some OPI Panda-Monium Pink nail varnish, which is a light baby pink, with a little splash of lilac. It's a very opaque, creamy finish.

I've had this nail varnish lying around for so long (along with OPI Lucky Lavender) but I've never gotten around to wearing them. I remember liking them when I first bought them, but then I decided I wasn't so keen on how they looked. I'm glad I kept them now though and didn't give them away.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely week :)

Maybelline Forever Strong Nail Polish - Rose Nudes

As a fan of nude colours I'd had my eye on these polishes for a while, but for some stupid reason I kept putting off actually buying them.
Until last Saturday that is.
Superdrug had them on offer at £6 for two,  instead of £4.09 each. So I scooped them up.

First-up is Nude Rose 135, which is a pretty medium, soft pink.
I had the polish on for 4days so it may look a little aged, but I think it lasted pretty well considering I've been gardening, cleaning rabbit hutches, housework and other daily things.

Next we have Rose Poudre 130 which is a subtle, soft nude pink.

These two polishes will probably my go to polishes for the next few weeks, as they're easy to wear and make nails look pretty.

Topshop Nail Varnish - Geography Teacher

Hi all, I just thought I'd just make another mentally late post.
I thought I'd show you all one of my favourite nail varnishes of the moment.
Which as you can tell by the post title is Topshop's makeup brand nail varnish in Geography Teacher.
It's a lovely creamy caramel/camel colour, which is very on trend.
I'm actually quite surprised at how good Topshops nail varnish is, I was expecting some cheap nasty polish, but this is as good as any high end polish in my opinion.
With me it usually chips after 3-4days, which I think is good going.
They also have quite an impressive array of colours in their nail varnish collection, a few others have caught my eye and at £5 a go they're pretty cheap for the quality.

A few random accessories haul :) and NOTD

I popped to town today to buy some Christmas things, and while I did get one or two pressies I also picked these little accessories up :)
I know it's naughty buying things for myself so close to Christmas, but they were cheap (that's my excuse anyway :p ).
So first of all I bought some little pieces of cheap jewelery from Miss Selfridge. I'm not really a big jewelery wearer. Usually I only wear a plain silver ring or my silver and amber one, and I always wear my cross and St.Christopher necklaces, but lately I've been feeling a bit boring so thought I'd get some things on the sales.
I don't really like buying cheap novelty jewelery full price as I know I'll just be wasting money because I usually only wear them a few times, so that's why sales are great :)
I bought a little stack of gold Love rings for £2 :D and a gold heart bracelet for £3.
Yes I'm having a gold and red fetish it seems, hehe.
Look how cute they are :)

At the end of this week the weather people forecast snow for the UK, and I'm a bit of a beret lover so it was an excuse to buy a new one.
I get a really cold head so I always wear a hat through winter, I like being all snuggley and warm.
For the last few winters I have been a redhead, so I've had hats to compliment the red hair, but lately I've started going back to my roots and slowly started going blonde again (the blondeness doesn't show up very well in the picture below though).
And so the old hats I have now don't compliment the blonde hair. I think red goes nicely with blonde hair, sort of like red riding hood stylie ;)
The hat is from Topshop and was £8. It's nice and soft and contain mostly wool and angora :)

Also I thought I'd post an NOTD as I wore the 17 High Gloss Nail Polish in Risky Red by itself today without the Barry M Red Glitter polish (as was shown in a previous post).
I am actually still surprised by how smoothly this nail varnish goes on.
Sometimes I find some nail varnishes very thick and gloopy (even when new) to apply, but this sort of just slides on.
In the picture below I only used one coat, and it gave a good even finish and high shine.

Festive Nail Varnish Haul

I've been feeling prematurely Christmassy lately, so yesterday I bought some Red and Gold Nail Varnishes that caught my eye :)
And here they are.

As soon as I saw Barry M's Red Glitter nail varnish I just had to have it. I'm never really into anything glittery, but this red polish was so pretty I had to have it.
I applied some on top of the 17 High Gloss polish in Risky Red that I bought, and it looks gorgeous :)

I only needed one coat of the Risky Red polish, which was quite surprising as I usually find that with cheaper nail varnish you have to apply a few coats for an even finish.
Anyway the same goes for the Barry M Red Glitter too. I imagined that I'd need about 2-3 coats for a good glittery finish, but I only needed ONE coat!!

I also fancied a Gold polish and so I bought 17's Sphinx, I haven't used any yet, but from what I can see it's a lovely shimmery gold.
When I get around to applying some I'll post an NOTD! :)

I love Glamour Magazine :D

This month I was really, really excited to go out and find my glamour magazine, well more excited than usual.
All because this month there was a FREE Nails INC nail varnish to be had :)
Not just any old colours either, a colour I'd fancied since last year, but I didn't want to spend the odd £10 on it.
And that colour is Jermyn Street, a grey beige colour.
In the bottle it does look grey beige, but on it looks like a slightly grey, purple colour, maybe like a dark lavender?!

Anyway this varnish goes on very smoothly, dries pretty quickly and has a nice slight shine to it.
I LOVE IT :)
Jermyn Street is everything I hoped it would be :)

Paul & Joe Tourjours (29) NOTD!

Hi, just a quick post to show the lovely Paul & Joe Tourjours Nail Polish :)
It's a lovely corally pink and creamy.
I really liked looking at my nails today and seeing this colour :)

What I love about Paul & Joe cosmetics is how they present their items. The bottle of the nail varnish is so glam :)
I also love the box too :)
I also have the Baby doll colour too, which I will post about as soon as I wear it :)

NOTD: Ciate Couture

I just thought I'd do a quick post to show Ciate's Couture Nail Polish, which is a nude cream with a little bit of pink. Perfect for lazy nail days :)

I received this for my Birthday on Tuesday from my parents :) Along with a new coat, a scarf and some other nail varnishes which I'll blog about soon :)

Sorryyyyyy.....

Hello everyone, I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging lately, I've not been buying much, and I've been keeping the makeup low key.
Anyway I just put some nail varnish on, and I though I'd post a quick picture :)

Sorry I didn't clean off the marks on the sides, I'm in a lazy mood.
Even though Bourjois So Laque is meant to last 7days, I find it only lasts 3-4 days before chipping, but I love the smoothness of the application, and the shine, so that makes up for the chipping :)
Plus loads of nail varnishes claim to last a long time and never do anyway.
Anyway the colour is Dangereusement Rouge 29, and it's a lovely black, gothic red :)
I've been into my nude polishes lately, so this nice dark colour makes a change.
Anyway sorry for the lack of posting, and I hope to resume to business as usual soon :)

P.s I hope everyone is well? I need to catch up :) x

Getting Opi...

So I've been getting Groovy with some Opi nail polishes lately, and I just thought I'd do a quick post to show the colours :)

First one is Rosy Future, which is a lovely rosy sheer pink, that has a sort of purple hue to it. Sorry the pics don't do it any justice, I think I'm in need of a new camera, plus the lighting in my room is rubbish, so could be that.
I believe this polish to be from the 'Soft Shades" collection.

Sorry about the next pic, I don't want to show my toes, but this combo is so pretty that I had to show it.

I popped two coats of Parlez-Vous Opi?, which is a lovely, beautiful, gorgeous colour described as a smokey violet.
I'd say its a sort of smokey, grey'ish purple colour.
I just really love this colour, and I need to add it's from the 2008 "France" collection.
I popped the 2 coats on, and I then popped Rosy future on top, to bling it up a bit with some shimmer, and it turned out pretty well.

I'm actually happy to see my toes now, when they pop out of their socks.

NOTD, Collection 2000 BMX Bandit.

I've had this on for a few days now and thought I better take a pic and show the colour before I change nail varnish tomorrow.
I really like this polish.
It's a lovely violet colour.
Nothing I can really say about this colour, I just Love it :)

Cool Reserve and Bling!!!!

I finally popped Macs Cool Reserve nail varnish on tonight, ready for the week ahead and it made me feel instantly cool and glam, so I popped on my BLING swarovski cocktail ring on :)
Off to beddie now, its late/early here. x

NOTD (or should that be Night?)

(yes I did some sloppy application tonight, lol).

It's really late here (almost 4am) and I can't sleep, so I just painted my nails with this NYC nail varnish.
I've had it for like a year or two, and it's always floating around my nail varnish box, so I just thought I'd give it a chance tonight and put some on, an it's really quite nice. Its a cute baby, powdery pink shade.
I'm not sure what the shade is but has the number I108A.

Ooh also, the Mac nail varnish I ordered on Saturday, finally arrived today. Mac have changed their delivery in the UK to DHL (and I don't find it very good, to be honest, was much quicker with the previous service).
And this is the polish I ordered.

Yes, its Cool Reserve, Woohoo.
I've been looking for this sort of dirty lilac for ages, since Macs Rose Romance collection (they had a very similar colour with that collection, can't remember what it was called?).
Anyway I'm going to pop this lovely colour on my nails on Sunday, because Sunday is home manicure day for me, and I shall then take some pics :)

NOTD!

It's late here 4am to be almost precise, and well I can't sleep. So I've just taken a pic of the nail varnish I'm wearing today, just to show you :)
The nail varnish I'm wearing is Collection 2000 Hot Looks fast dry in Dynasty. Its a lovely creamy lilac colour. Goes on nice and smoothly and dries quickly too. I'm also surprised how well it's lasted too without chipping, which is the third day of wearing, it was so cheap I thought it would have chipped a fair bit by now :)
Anyway I'll just leave with that for now.
